Role Overview
We are looking for an Engagement Lead with a product-first mindset and a strong background in technology delivery to help shape and scale our growing portfolio of tools and client solutions. This is a hands-on, outcome-oriented role with responsibility across three key areas:

Developing and scaling our own proprietary software tools (two currently in progress)

Designing internal productivity tools, ideally powered by AI, to support high-performing teams

Leading the creation and customization of client-facing software, data, and AI-based solutions
You will work cross-functionally with internal teams and clients, combining strong product instincts with delivery know-how to bring new tools to life and ensure successful outcomes.
This role is being hired on a contract-to-hire basis, though we would consider full-time employment for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

Drive the strategy and delivery of proprietary software tools from MVP to scale

Build internal platforms and workflows that improve team performance and leverage AI capabilities

Design and deliver client-facing products across software, data, and AI categories

Customize and integrate features on top of third-party platforms to meet client-specific needs

Act as the primary liaison for client engagements, managing stakeholder expectations and communications

Translate business goals into clear product plans and development priorities

Define and track KPIs to ensure product performance aligns with strategic objectives

Operate across both agile and waterfall methodologies, applying the best fit for each project

Lead cross-functional teams through all phases of product development and delivery

Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and trade-offs to maintain momentum and impact
Who You Are

You have 4 to 7 years of experience in a product management, consulting, or technology delivery role

You have experience building or managing delivery of software, AI, or data tools — ideally across multiple industries or for external customers

You bring familiarity with agriculture, food, or supply chain industries (a plus, but not required)

You are fluent in agile and waterfall ways of working and know how to lead teams in either

You are a strategic thinker who also delivers with a bias toward action

You are organized, articulate, and comfortable leading through ambiguity

You know how to manage cross-functional teams and stakeholders with different priorities

You are excited about emerging technology and look for opportunities to apply it internally and externally

You’re experienced in product discovery, roadmapping, user feedback loops, and delivering working solutions

Additional Information
- We are headquartered out of Chicago, Illinois, but operate remotely with a light client travel (1-2 weeks/ month)
- Contract-to-hire ideal, with potential for full-time employment. For the right candidate, we would consider full-time.
- Full-time or flexible hours considered, based on experience and fit.
- We will ask for a reference from a recent boss or advisor as part of the process.
- Compensation range: $75–$100 per hour, depending on experience and fit. Full-time conversion between $125K and $150K plus medical benefits
