Business Analyst

We are looking for a sharp, detail-oriented Business Analyst with 2 to 4 years of experience to join our fast-paced team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-growth environment and is eager to contribute across multiple parts of the business. You will work closely with both internal teams and clients to turn complex problems into actionable insights and gain hands-on exposure to emerging technologies in the agribusiness space.

This role is being hired on a contract-to-hire basis, though we would consider full-time employment for the right candidate.

• Embed into fractional teams supporting clients or contribute to traditional projects with defined deliverables and outcomes

• Analyze complex datasets and business processes to uncover insights and opportunities

• Build clear, compelling presentations using PowerPoint to communicate findings

• Collaborate with stakeholders to map and improve workflows and process flows

• Use Excel and other tools to model business scenarios and track performance metrics

• Apply generative AI tools to accelerate research, documentation, and reporting

• Support project planning and execution using data-driven decision making

• Bring a roll-up-your-sleeves mindset to problem solving and execution

• Identify and recommend creative ways to deliver value to high-performing teams

• You have 2 to 4 years of experience in a business analyst or similar role

• You hold a B.S. degree in Agriculture, Business, Engineering, Sciences, or a related technical field

• You are analytical, curious, and detail-oriented

• You have strong written and verbal communication skills

• You are proficient in Excel and PowerPoint and comfortable creating process maps or flow diagrams

• You are excited about the agribusiness industry and motivated to make an impact

• You have used or are eager to use generative AI tools to work more efficiently

• You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and learning by doing

• We are headquartered out of Chicago, Illinois, but operate remotely with a light client travel (1-2 weeks/ month)
• Contract-to-hire ideal, with potential for full-time employment. For the right candidate, we would consider full-time.
• Full-time or flexible hours considered, based on experience and fit.
• We will ask for a reference from a recent boss or advisor as part of the process.
• Compensation range: $50–$75 per hour, depending on experience and fit.  Full-time conversion between $65K and $85K plus medical benefits
